RESIDENCE INN BY MARRIOTT NEW YORK QUEENS, New York

The Queensbridge subway station (lines F and M) is a 7-10-minute walk, giving a roughly 20-minute ride to Manhattan (Lexington Avenue or Rockefeller Center). LaGuardia Airport is 6 km away, and the hotel offers easy access to the Queensboro Bridge by car. Several Uber drivers and nearby pedestrians advise caution walking alone in the area after dark, particularly around the industrial blocks and government housing adjacent to the hotel. The streets can feel gritty, especially at night, but the presence of other tourists walking to the subway during the day is normal. A small number of convenience stores and restaurants are within 0.5 km. Roosevelt Island is a 20-minute walk across the bridge.

The breakfast buffet offers scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles (make-your-own), oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, pastries, bagels, and fruit. During peak hours (roughly 7:30-9:00), the dedicated dining area is too small for the hotel's size, often resulting in long queues for food stations and seating. Taking breakfast to your room or using overflow seating in the lobby is recommended to avoid delays. The same menu repeats daily. A snack bar with items for purchase is available near reception, and a coffee/tea/hot chocolate station is open 24/7. Nearby dining within a 1-km walk includes LLC Grill, Niforos Corner, and several pizzerias and fried chicken options.

The fitness centre is free to use. Equipment includes treadmill, weights, and exercise mat. The space is compact but adequate for a workout. Drinking water is not always available in the gym; the 24-hour lobby coffee station can be used for hydration. An ice-skating rink is located nearby, though it is not part of the hotel. The area is not suited for leisurely walks, especially at night, so wellness activities are best confined to the property or visiting Manhattan attractions via the subway.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. Daily housekeeping is provided, but items like coffee, tea, and kitchen detergent may need to be requested from the front desk if not replenished. The laundry room (fee applies) has one washer and one dryer for the entire hotel. A business centre offers free fax/photocopying. The 24-hour front desk can assist with luggage storage (free), early check-in/check-out requests, and storing deliveries (contact them in advance). Accessible parking spaces are available; valet parking is also offered. A cashless policy applies throughout. Cribs/pack 'n plays can be provided upon request.
