CHAMPION HOTEL, Singapore

The hotel is situated in the Katong neighbourhood, a lively area full of restaurants, shops, and convenience stores. Bus route 24 provides direct access to the airport and city centre, and the nearest MRT station (Paya Lebar or Eunos) is roughly 10-15 minutes on foot. The Joo Chiat Complex with a supermarket and ATM is just steps away, and the area is considered safe and walkable, even at night.

Accommodation includes single, twin, double, triple and family configurations. Some rooms have windows, while windowless rooms are quieter and retain cooler temperatures but can feel humid. Family suites offer generous space with a seating area, open wardrobe with ample hangers, and a swing seat. Rooms feature parquet floors, air conditioning, a minibar, an in-room safe, and free toiletries. Bathrooms are modern with a shower and hot water, though some rooms have narrow toilet positions which can be tight for taller guests. Room size and condition vary, with some units having been recently refreshed. Noise from the street or neighbouring rooms can be an issue, especially for rooms facing the main road.

The hotel itself does not have an on-site restaurant or bar, but Joo Chiat Road offers an extensive range of dining options just outside the door. Within 0.5 km, guests find Aziz's Dream (Malay), Chilli Padi Nyonya Restaurant (Peranakan), Aroma Kampung Restaurant, Hjh Maimunah (Malay), and Nasi Padang. Long Phung Vietnamese Restaurant and Mr & Mrs Moghans Super Crispy Prata are a 5-minute walk away. The surrounding area is particularly well known for its Malay and Muslim-friendly eateries, as well as Vietnamese restaurants and specialty coffee shops.

Wi-Fi is available for free in all rooms. The 24-hour front desk offers express check-in/check-out and free luggage storage, making it easy to explore the city on arrival or departure days. Daily housekeeping is complimentary; laundry and dry cleaning are available for an additional charge. A business centre with fax/photocopying can be used for a fee. A minimarket is located on site, and vending machines provide drinks. The hotel also has a shared lounge/TV area. Parking is free but limited to availability with no reservation possible.
