Hotel Details

Location

An 8-minute walk from Khao San Road, with the Bangkok National Museum 1 km away and Wat Saket 2 km away.
The hostel sits on a quiet canal side street just off the main backpacker strip. The location is ideal for exploring the historic Rattanakosin area, including the Grand Palace and Wat Pho within a 20-minute walk. A 7-Eleven is directly across the street. For airport transfers, take public Shuttle Bus A4 from Don Mueang International Airport (26 km) to Khao San Road at 50-60 THB per person, then walk 200 metres. The nearest ferry pier is a short walk away for river transport, but there is no metro or BTS within comfortable walking distance - you will rely on tuk-tuks or ride-hailing apps for most non-walkable journeys.

Accommodation

Adults-only rooms and dorms with air-conditioning, private bathrooms, and garden or city views from some rooms.
The hostel offers private double rooms with a balcony and garden view, plus female-only and mixed dormitory rooms. Dorms have 4 or 8 beds, each with a privacy curtain, personal shelf, charging port, reading light, and a spacious locker. Linen and towels are included at no extra charge. Beds are firm and comfortable, and the rooms are air-conditioned. The 4-bed dorms have an en-suite bathroom with a shower and bidet, while the 8-bed dorms contain two bathrooms inside the room. Dorm rooms are compact - some describe them as cramped, with noisy lockers that can disturb sleep. Road-facing units and rooms near the adjacent club may pick up noise until late; a quiet policy is enforced from 11 PM. Upper bunk stairs are steep; younger and agile travellers will manage more comfortably. Private rooms offer more space and quiet. The hostel does not accept room-viewing requests before booking.

Dining

Free breakfast is served until 11 AM, and the on-site restaurant serves Thai cuisine with canal views.
Breakfast is included in the room rate and is served in the ground-floor common area. The spread typically includes fresh seasonal fruit (mango, dragon fruit, papaya), hard-boiled eggs, bread, pastries, cereal, and drinks. It is a straightforward but satisfying start for a hostel. The on-site restaurant, Jham-Jun Rooftop Bar & Bistro, serves Thai cuisine in a traditional, modern, and romantic setting, and is open daily from 6 PM to 1 AM. Outdoor seating offers scenic views over the canal. A few very good local Japanese restaurants are on the ground floor of the building, and plenty of eateries are within a 2-minute walk.

Wellness and Leisure

No pool or spa on site, but free daily activities and use of the neighbouring hostel's pool.
The hostel's social programme is its main leisure offering: free walking tours, local market visits, cultural classes, board games, and a free Muay Thai outing are organised daily (except Sundays). Guests can also use the swimming pool at the party hostel next door, Mad Monkey. The rooftop terrace and garden with canal views are popular chill-out spots, and the sun terrace and picnic area add to the relaxed vibe. There is no gym, spa, or wellness centre on the property.

Facilities and Services

Free Wi-Fi, elevator, luggage storage, shared kitchen, and daily housekeeping are provided.
The hostel offers free, stable Wi-Fi that works well in common areas. An elevator is available for moving luggage between floors, though the first leg from the street to the reception is via a steep staircase. Daily housekeeping is included at no extra charge, and towels are replaced on request. Luggage storage is free and can be used before check-in or after check-out for a small fee. A shared kitchen, lockers, safety deposit box, and a hairdryer (available at reception) are all provided. Laundry is available for an extra charge. The hostel accepts Visa and MasterCard, and provides 24-hour security with CCTV and key card access. Designated smoking areas are available; the rest of the building is non-smoking.
