From Venice Santa Lucia station, take vaporetto line 2 to Rialto, then follow the mercerie for about 15 minutes. From Marco Polo Airport, the Alilaguna water bus stops at San Marco (70 min, €15); a water taxi takes 25 minutes. Drivers must park at Piazzale Roma (3 km) and take a vaporetto. The entrance is through a narrow calle, which can be tricky to find at first - detailed directions are provided. The neighbourhood is filled with shops, cafés, and restaurants, with the Doge's Palace, Bridge of Sighs, and La Fenice theatre all within a 5-10 minute walk.

The breakfast buffet includes bread, cold cuts, cheese, yogurt, cereal, and coffee/tea. No hot dishes or fresh fruit are offered. Coffee and tea are only available during breakfast hours. The roof terrace is a pleasant spot in good weather, though seagulls may try to steal food.
