Hotel Details

Location

Located 3 km from John Wayne Airport, right off the 55 freeway in a quiet business district with a scenic lake.

The hotel sits behind a calm pond with a walking path and ducks, creating a serene setting despite being near a highway. South Coast Plaza is 4 km away, Fashion Island is 13 km, and Disneyland is about 20 minutes by car. Multiple fast-casual restaurants and Starbucks are a short walk. The area is generally safe and quiet, though the immediate surroundings are commercial - a car is ideal for most errands and attractions.

Accommodation

All rooms are air-conditioned with private bathrooms, a work desk, TV, tea/coffee maker, and mini-fridge.

Accommodations are spacious, recently remodeled, and clean. Room types include double, twin, and larger suites - some with lake views, a seating area, or even a Peloton bike. Bathrooms feature a bath or walk-in shower with free toiletries, hairdryer, and ironing facilities. Rooms on higher floors or facing the lake tend to be quieter. Standard rooms are well-suited for business or leisure stays, though some may find the firm beds less comfortable.

Dining

On-site Lakeside Bistro offers American cuisine for breakfast and dinner, with a menu-based pricing model.

Breakfast includes American options such as warm dishes, local specialities, and fresh pastries. The bistro operates Tuesday through Saturday (06:30-21:00) and uses a menu system where dishes and drinks are priced individually. During times when the restaurant is closed or undergoing renovations, nearby dining choices (including Rubio's, Starbucks, and several Mexican/Asian restaurants) are within a short walk or drive.

Wellness and Leisure

Year-round heated outdoor pool, hot tub, and fitness centre - all free of charge.

The heated pool (kept at ~24 °C) and hot tub are open all year and come with complimentary towels and sun loungers. The fitness centre has free weights, treadmills, a Peloton bike, and space for stretching. The lakefront walking path and outdoor seating areas offer a relaxing spot to unwind. The pool and jacuzzi remain open during renovations, and lights turn on automatically at dusk.

Facilities and Services

Free Wi-Fi, lift, 24-hour front desk, and on-site parking (US$24/night). Safety features include CCTV and safety deposit box.

Laundry service is available for an additional fee. The property is smoke-free throughout and has accessible features such as a lift. Check-in/out is handled at the 24-hour front desk; an ATM is on site. Connecting rooms are available upon request. Past feedback indicates that luggage storage and late-night front desk support are generally reliable, though wait times may occur during busy periods.
