The hotel sits on a quiet side street less than a minute from the main Kurfürstendamm shopping boulevard. Wittenbergplatz station (U1 and U2) is a 3-4 minute walk away, providing direct metro connections to Potsdamer Platz and Alexanderplatz. Berlin Zoo and the Zoologischer Garten station (regional trains, airport buses to Tegel and Schönefeld, and bus 100) are within a 10-minute walk. KaDeWe department store, several supermarkets, restaurants, and cafés are within a few blocks. The area is well served by bus lines and is about 15 minutes by taxi from Tegel Airport.

Rooms are clean but basic, often described as small and with worn carpets and older furniture. Some rooms contain two single beds rather than the requested double. Certain rooms have a sink, desk, and wardrobe, and electric kettle are available in some but not all. No air conditioning or fans: rooms can be very hot in summer and require open windows, which then admit street noise. Road-facing rooms can be loud; rooms on quieter sides are available upon request. Rooms with private bathrooms are larger and come with a shower. The property has a lift that may occasionally be out of service.

There is no pool, spa, sauna, gym, or other wellness facility on the property. The location provides immediate access to Berlin Zoo (10 minutes' walk), Tiergarten park for jogging and walks (nearby), and the entire Kurfürstendamm shopping and dining district. The hotel is also a 15-20 minute walk from the Berlin Aquarium and the Europa Center.

The 24-hour front desk offers express check-in/out, luggage storage, and free maps. Housekeeping is provided daily but typically only empties bins and changes towels placed on the floor; sheets are not changed during short stays. The lift serves all floors. Wi-Fi is free throughout but coverage is unreliable: some rooms cannot connect, and a stable signal is often only available in the lobby or dining room. Private on-site parking costs €9 per day (no reservation possible). Pets are permitted with possible charges. Family rooms, cots, and extra beds are available, though cots must be requested.
