Claire House sits directly across from Roma Termini station, putting you at the centre of Rome's public transport network. Vittorio Emanuele metro station (line A) is a 6-minute walk away, and the Colosseum is reachable on foot in about 19 minutes. Santa Maria Maggiore basilica is 600 metres away. For airport transfers, shuttle buses from Fiumicino and Ciampino arrive and depart from Termini, costing €6-8 per person (the property does not run its own shuttle to Fiumicino). The area is busy with foot traffic due to the station, but rooms with windows closed are quiet; requesting a room away from the street is also possible. The immediate neighbourhood offers several restaurants within a 5-minute walk, including Italian, Chinese, Korean and Indian options. Some prefer to avoid walking alone after dark, though the station itself remains well-lit and busy.

Rooms are recently renovated, simply furnished and very clean. Each room has air conditioning, heating, a large wardrobe with a full-length mirror, a dining area and a flat-screen TV. Free WiFi is fast enough for 4K streaming on multiple devices. Some rooms have a private bathroom inside the room (double bed rooms), while others (twin rooms with two single beds) have a private bathroom located in the shared hallway - you receive a key for it. The twin/double rooms include a kitchen with a refrigerator and kitchenware for self-catering. Beds are comfortable, and city views are available. The building has a lift. For light sleepers, note that street noise can be noticeable with the window open, but closing it provides good sound insulation.

There is no traditional breakfast service. Instead, the host supplies complimentary coffee, tea, bottled water, packaged pastries and fresh fruit each day, available in the shared kitchen. The kitchen itself is well equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle, cookware and utensils, allowing you to prepare your own meals. A washing machine and dryer are also available for use. The property is surrounded by several restaurants within a 300-metre walk, offering a range of cuisines from Italian trattorias to Chinese, Korean and Indian options - useful if you prefer not to cook every evening.

The homestay does not have its own pool, spa or gym. However, its central location puts major attractions like the Colosseum (19-minute walk), Roman Forum, and Villa Borghese gardens within easy reach. The metro at Termini provides quick access to the Vatican, Spanish Steps and beyond.

Internet: free and very fast (405 Mbps, suitable for streaming and video calls). Parking: public paid parking nearby (€1/hour, no reservation). Airport shuttle: available for Ciampino Airport at an additional charge; the property does not provide a shuttle to Fiumicino - take a shuttle bus from Termini (€6-8 per person). Luggage storage: free before check-in or after check-out, with bags left in the room after showing your passport or ID. Late check-in (after 23:00) is possible with advance notification. The reception staff speak English, Italian and Chinese. Safety: CCTV outside, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and key card access. Pets: allowed on request, with possible charges. Laundry: a washing machine and tumble dryer are available in the shared kitchen.
