CLES DE FLORENCE, Florence

The guest house is located in a historic building on a through street in the real heart of Florence. Most major sights, including the Uffizi Gallery (17 minutes), Accademia Gallery, and San Marco Church, are within a comfortable walking distance. Santa Maria Novella train station is under a kilometer away, providing convenient rail connections across Tuscany and to Florence Airport (9 km). The area is well served by public transport, and a self-service laundry, bike rentals, and a minimarket are nearby. The entrance is unmarked and set within an ordinary apartment building, so arriving by taxi is recommended when carrying heavy luggage over Florence's cobblestones. Several restaurants and cafés are within a 5-minute walk.

Accommodation options include double rooms (with one double bed) and triple rooms (with two beds), both featuring modern furnishings, parquet floors, and private entrances. Each room is equipped with a flat-screen TV (accessible for streaming services), a work desk, a wardrobe, a refrigerator, and a coffee machine. Hypoallergenic bedding, free toiletries, and daily housekeeping are provided. Some rooms feature a terrace, garden views, or quiet street views. Room sizes vary, with some described as compact but functional for one or two nights. Note that some rooms have limited natural light due to windows facing an internal courtyard, and a few rooms are on the ground floor with direct street access.

Breakfast is not offered on-site, making the in-room coffee machine and refrigerator useful for self-catering. The surrounding area is rich with dining options: La Cucina del Garga, La Barchetta, Florentia Cafe, and several other restaurants are within a 300-meter radius. A minimarket is also nearby for basic groceries. The central location means hundreds of cafés, trattorias, and pizzerias are within a short walk, including options for Chinese and Indian cuisine.

The property operates without a front desk or reception. All communication is handled through messaging (WhatsApp or Booking.com chat). Services include private check-in/check-out, express check-in/check-out, daily housekeeping (linen change every few days), and free luggage storage before check-in and after check-out. Safety features include CCTV, key card access, a security alarm, smoke alarms, and a safety deposit box. There is no on-site parking; paid private parking nearby costs around €75 for three days. The property is not wheelchair accessible, and ground-floor rooms are available by request.
