Bus line 6 (stop Niccolini, 400 m) connects from the station. Excellent access to local restaurants, markets, and shops - over a dozen dining options are within 300 metres. Free disabled parking spaces are available in the area.

The rooms are housed in a 17th-century building, featuring original wood-beamed ceilings, parquet floors, and soundproofing. Several room types are available: some overlook the lively Piazza de' Ciompi (e.g. the Pellicciari room), while the Speziali room has a small balcony on an inner courtyard. Rooms facing the street are quiet despite the central position, and inner rooms are especially restful. Beds are consistently described as comfortable, and bathrooms are well-maintained with toiletries and a hairdryer. The only potential point to note is that the Camera dei Mercanti has a private bathroom located just outside the room (about 2 metres away), not en-suite - all other rooms have standard private bathrooms.
