COMFORT SUITES COLUMBUS, Brice

The hotel is positioned off the highway for easy access, making it a convenient base for visiting nearby attractions such as the OtherWorld immersive art experience (within walking distance), the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum (5 km), and the Columbus Museum of Art (17 km). Columbus Zoo is about a 30-minute drive away. Several dining options, including Starbucks, Waffle House, and Applebee's, are within 1 km. However, the entrance is easy to miss at night and the surrounding area is described as somewhat sketchy; parking under lights is advised. The hotel is an excellent choice for those attending events at Ohio State University or the Columbus Zoo.

The hotel offers family-friendly suites with one king bed or two queen beds, plus a pull-out sofa bed, accommodating up to 5 guests per room (enforced occupancy limit). Rooms feature air conditioning, a work desk, cable TV with HBO, a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. Some accessible rooms with handicapped bathrooms are available. While many rooms are reported as spacious and comfortable, reports note cleanliness issues including stained carpets, dirty sheets, mold in bathrooms, and maintenance problems such as broken locks, non-functional bathroom fans, and poor shower drainage. Guests have reported room mix-ups due to system errors and occasional room reassignments. The property has undergone some renovation, but the quality of workmanship is described as poor. Light sleepers may wish to request a room away from the highway side, as the area can be noisy.

A daily complimentary buffet breakfast is offered, including hot items like eggs, sausage, and pancakes, as well as continental options with bagels and fruit. When the standard breakfast service is not available (due to operational constraints), a grab-and-go bag is provided instead. Coffee and tea are available in the lobby. The breakfast quality has been described as decent but basic, with limited variety. Several fast-food and casual dining options (Starbucks, Waffle House, Applebee's) are within a short drive for additional meal choices.

The hotel features an indoor rooftop swimming pool (open 12:00-22:00) with sun loungers, and a fitness centre. Both are included in the stay. However, the pool has been subject to closures - including long-term shutdowns due to COVID - and guests have reported it being dirty, lacking towels, and having scum build-up. The pool may not be available during certain periods, and hours can change without prior notification. Guests should confirm pool status upon arrival and plan activities accordingly. The pool is not heated to a comfortable temperature for some.
