COMFORT SUITES HOUSTON NW - VINTAGE PARK, Houston

The hotel sits next to Vintage Park, a commercial strip with a wide choice of restaurants including Taco Cabana, Pho Thanh Long, and Chipotle Mexican Grill, as well as an H-E-B grocery store for supplies. George Bush Intercontinental Airport is 33 km away, while CityCentre Plaza is 29 km and Memorial Park is 35 km. The location is convenient for travellers needing to access Tomball or Cypress by car. The immediate area is walkable to the shopping plazas, but the hotel sits near Highway 249, so noise can be heard from some rooms. Vehicle break-ins have occurred in the parking lot, so keeping the car empty and locked is advisable.

Each suite offers a separate sitting area, desk, ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities, and a flat-screen TV. Some rooms feature a microwave and refrigerator, giving added convenience for longer stays or families. Three-bed configurations are available in some suites, accommodating group or family needs. Jacuzzi suites are available for guests wanting an in-room soaking tub. The rooms are spacious and clean upon arrival, and the beds and pillows have been described as comfortable. A small number of rooms show deferred maintenance such as cracked windows, mould or water damage near the AC unit, broken nightstand drawers, or a damp feel. For maximum sleep quality, request a room not facing the highway. The air conditioning cools effectively and the rooms are quiet with good soundproofing from outside traffic.

Breakfast is included for all guests and typically offers a variety of items including scrambled eggs, sausage, pastries, toast, and hot drinks. The quality and variety has been described as decent by some, and good enough for the price by others, but the breakfast area is small with only a few tables, so early arrival is advisable. When the breakfast runs low, restocking may not happen quickly. There is no restaurant, bar, or room service on site, but many dining options - from fast food to sit-down Mexican and Asian cuisine - are within 2-3 km. A grocery store (H-E-B) is also right next door.

The outdoor pool is open during warmer months and the hotel reports it can remain in use into late fall if temperatures allow. The fitness centre is small but functional, although the treadmill has occasionally been out of order. There is no spa, sauna, or whirlpool on site beyond the in-room jacuzzi tubs available in certain suites. The shared lounge and TV area provides a compact indoor relaxation space.
