HAMPTON INN - HOUSTON/BROOKHOLLOW, Houston

The hotel sits adjacent to Highway 290, providing quick car access to downtown Houston (13 km), Memorial Park, and the Houston Arboretum. The area has numerous chain restaurants within a short drive. Traffic noise from the highway is audible, particularly in rooms facing the road, so earplugs or a quiet-side room request may improve sleep. The property is 30 minutes from the airport by car, but no shuttle is available; taxis or rideshares are needed. Gated parking is free and on-site.

Breakfast includes scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles (with toppings), oatmeal, cereals, breads, and juice. While generally well-stocked and popular, occasional variability in food freshness and selection has been noted. The breakfast area is kept clean and organised. For lunch or dinner, several chain restaurants (Denny's, Chili's, Pappadeaux) are within a 13-14 km drive. There is no bar or room service.

The outdoor pool is open seasonally; cleanliness has been inconsistent, so check before planning a swim. The fitness room has basic cardio and weight equipment, adequate for a workout. Pool towels are available at the front desk. There is no sauna, jacuzzi, or dedicated leisure area beyond these.

The hotel offers a range of practical services: a business centre with meeting/banquet facilities, dry cleaning, and safety deposit boxes. The front desk is staffed 24/7 for late arrivals. Luggage storage is available upon request. Elevator access makes all floors reachable. Parking is free, gated, and on-site without reservation. Pets are allowed with a $75 non-refundable fee (max 2). No airport shuttle.
