Wilmington Convention Center and Jungle Rapids Family Fun Park are 10 minutes' drive from the hotel, and the train station is a 3-minute drive or a 13-minute walk. Downtown Wilmington is about 12 minutes by car. Target sits across the street, and a range of dining options - sushi, pizza, seafood, an oyster bar and a brewery - is within 0.3-0.5 km. The area is well lit and generally quiet, making it easy to walk to nearby shops and restaurants.

Options range from double rooms with two beds to one-bedroom suites and king suites with sofa beds, desks and separate seating areas. A limited number of king suites have an in-room jacuzzi/spa tub, and queen suites are available with a private bedroom; call to confirm the exact configuration. Every room has a shower, tea/coffee facilities, ironing facilities, heating and a fridge with a small freezer. There are no balconies. Some rooms have windows that open, while others use only sheer blinds, so early light can affect sleep. The carpeted rooms have an older feel, and condition varies: some are clean, spacious and quiet, while others show stained carpets, musty or humid conditions, loud air-conditioning units, worn mattresses and slow-to-arrive hot water. Bed comfort is generally good. Adjoining rooms pair an accessible room with a standard room.

Breakfast is buffet-style and typically includes hot food, continental staples and a waffle maker, with selections changing from one morning to the next. The breakfast attendant keeps the area replenished, and coffee is available during the day and overnight. If the hot breakfast is not operating, prepackaged to-go breakfast bags are provided. There is no on-site restaurant; drinks and snacks come from vending machines, and a cluster of restaurants is within easy walking distance for other meals.

Wellness facilities are limited to a fitness centre with exercise equipment. The indoor pool is currently out of service due to maintenance, so swimming is not part of a stay.
