Restaurants such as Limestone Lounge (0.5km) and Onion Creek Grille (1km) are within walking distance, while the Capitol Building is 9km away. The immediate surroundings are car-oriented; public transport is not readily walkable. Several guests have noted the area can feel less polished, so arriving by car is recommended for evening outings.

Room types include double rooms (with one or two beds) and suites with a separate living area and sofa bed. All rooms feature a tea and coffee maker, ironing facilities, carpeted floors, and heating. Some units have been recently updated with fresh carpet and flooring, while others appear dated. Soundproofing is standard, but noise from the I-35 highway can still be audible in rooms facing the road, and interior walls are described as thin. The air-conditioning system has a motion-sensor timer that may shut off during the night if no movement is detected. Rooms away from the elevator and highway offer a quieter stay.

The Bistro operates daily from 06:30-09:30 (weekdays) / 07:00-10:00 (weekends) for breakfast, and from 17:00-22:00 for dinner. The menu includes American classics; the breakfast burrito is a popular item. A Starbucks coffee station is inside the Bistro. Breakfast costs US$10 per person and is not included in the standard rate. Lunch service is not available, but the lobby has a snack bar and vending machines with drinks and snacks.
