DA I' GINI GUESTHOUSE, Florence

This apartment sits on a lively street in the real heart of Florence, putting all major sights, including the Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio, within a short walk. Florence Santa Maria Novella station is about a 20-minute walk away, making it convenient for rail travellers, while Florence Airport is 11 km from the property. The surrounding streets are lined with restaurants, shops, and bars, though street noise can be audible from front-facing rooms; closing the double-glazed windows significantly reduces sound. Parking is off-site and costly, so car-free exploration is recommended.

The property offers a variety of room configurations, including a 4-bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms and private entrance, as well as double and quadruple rooms with either private or shared bathrooms. All rooms feature air conditioning, a washing machine, soundproof walls in select units, and tea and coffee making facilities. The shared bathrooms are well-maintained and stocked with toiletries, hairdryer, and bidet. Rooms overlooking the street have double glazing, but light sleepers may still prefer an inner courtyard-facing room. The building is historic, with high ceilings, but has no elevator - a consideration for those with heavy luggage or mobility concerns.

The property does not operate a restaurant or serve breakfast, but the shared kitchen is fully equipped with a stovetop, oven, refrigerator, kitchenware, and a washing machine, allowing self-catering. The on-site coffee shop provides a convenient option for coffee and snacks. The surrounding area is rich with dining choices, with at least seven restaurants and cafés within 300 metres, offering a wide range of cuisines from traditional Florentine to modern Italian. Guests who prefer to eat out will find plenty of options, but those wanting a quick morning meal may prepare their own in the kitchen.

The property itself does not have a spa, gym, or pool, but its central location places guests within walking distance of all major cultural sites, shopping streets, and dining. Board games and puzzles are available for in-room entertainment, and a smart TV with Netflix is provided in some rooms. The shared kitchen and free washing machine support longer stays, while the daily housekeeping helps keep the space tidy. For a unique local leisure activity, an ice-skating rink is within easy reach.

The property offers free WiFi in all areas, daily housekeeping (typically around midday), a shared trouser press, and laundry facilities with one free wash per stay. Luggage storage is available before check-in and after check-out, providing flexibility for exploring the city. Express check-in/out, private check-in, and a concierge service are available, with late arrivals accommodated via self-check-in instructions. Parking is off-site and requires a reservation at €30 per day. No pets or smoking are permitted. The property accepts all major credit cards, including American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and UnionPay.
