The motel is across the street from Clearwater Beach, putting the sand and surf within a 4-minute walk. Many restaurants, bars and a Starbucks are within a short stroll (0.5 km or less). The Pier 60 area is about 4 km away; the local trolley costs $1.10 and is a practical way to get around. St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport is 19 km away. On-site free parking is a major advantage in this area, where parking elsewhere usually costs $30 or more per day.

Accommodations include family rooms with one or two beds (the double-bed option costs $225 plus tax per night, the single-bed option $175 plus tax). Rooms are spacious and often feature a separate bedroom and a living area with a kitchenette (microwave, fridge, coffee maker). However, the kitchenette is not stocked with utensils, plates, cups, or pans-plan to bring your own. Air conditioning is provided, but some units use a small window unit that may not cool the bedroom adequately. Blinds are the only window covering, and they may not block outside light completely. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with comfortable beds and new bedding after recent renovations. Road-facing rooms can be noisy, especially at night; rooms away from the street offer a quieter stay.

Echo Sails Motel has no restaurant, bar or breakfast service on site. The room has a small coffee maker (bring your own coffee), a microwave, fridge and basic kitchenette, but no utensils, plates, cups or cookware-bring your own if you plan to prepare simple meals. Within 0.5 km (5-minute walk) you have numerous choices: SHOR American Seafood Grill, Cousins Maine Lobster, Crabby's Dockside, Salt Cracker Fish Camp, Tropico Rooftop Cantina, Badfins Food + Brew, King's Pizza, eSKPades and a Starbucks for coffee and breakfast sandwiches.

The property offers an outdoor swimming pool that is open all year. It is surrounded by a garden with chairs and tables, creating a cosy relaxation area lit in the evening. The pool is often well maintained, but there have been periods when the heater was out of order (currently not expected to be fixed until at least February), making the water cold. Filter maintenance can also be inconsistent. For full swimming and sunbathing, the beach is just a 4-minute walk away. Boating opportunities are also available in the area.

Free private parking is available on site without reservation, a significant perk for a beach-area location. Wi-Fi is provided for free, though reliability varies. Check-in is at 14:00; early parking and luggage storage are possible by arrangement. Check-out is 10:00. There is no daily housekeeping service; towels and supplies (toilet paper, soap) are provided on request. Staff are friendly and accommodating. The property accepts Visa only. No pets.
