Edmonton International Airport is a 35-minute drive. There are no shops, cafes, or dining options within walking distance - having a car is essential. The surrounding area is quiet and feels safe for parking, but you'll need to drive for any amenities or entertainment. Casino Edmonton is 5 minutes away, and several hospitals (Grey Nuns, University of Alberta, Strathcona) are nearby.

All rooms come with air conditioning, soundproof walls, a flat-screen cable TV, coffee maker, hair dryer, work desk, and lounge chair. Some rooms include a fridge and microwave. The larger suites have separate living areas and multiple beds. The property has two towers - the West Tower is noted for being quieter. Road-facing rooms or those near the elevator may experience more noise. Some units have a jetted tub. The decor and furnishings show wear in places (carpet staining, chipped paint, older TVs), but beds are consistently described as very comfortable. Air conditioning units in some rooms can be loud. Lighting in rooms and bathrooms can be dim. Blackout curtains are not standard. No balconies are available.

Breakfast is served on disposable plates with wooden cutlery. On Sundays, the kitchen closes between 12pm and 5pm, so no hot food is available at the hotel during that gap. Room service operates only during restaurant hours. There is no coffee shop or lobby coffee after breakfast.

The indoor saltwater pool is heated and open all year. The hot tub is kept hot, and the steam room and dry sauna are available. Pool towels are provided, though shortages have occurred when the hotel is busy. The fitness centre has basic equipment; some describe it as small. For leisure, there are billiards (extra charge), free darts, golf course within 3 km (extra charge), happy hour events, and live sports broadcasts. Outdoor areas include a garden, terrace, and patio with sun loungers. The pool area is a concrete room - no music. The hot tub, sauna, and steam room operate 7am-11pm.
