The hotel sits on a peaceful side street in the Rothenburgsort district, close to the Entenwerder peninsula and the scenic Elbewanderweg hiking and cycling trail. Bus line 3 stops about 250 metres away and reaches Hamburg's main railway station and city centre in roughly 10 minutes. The A255 motorway is a few hundred metres away, making car access straightforward. A supermarket, bakery and a few restaurants (Pub/Bar Windfang, Restaurant Elbgarten) are within 300 metres. The immediate neighbourhood is residential with some social housing, and the area can feel less vibrant in the evening - but for a quiet base with practical city access, the location works well. The S-Bahn station Elbbrücken is about 15 minutes on foot, so relying on the bus is more efficient.

All 40 rooms are soundproofed and include a flat-screen cable TV, free mineral water, a safe deposit box, and a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer. Room types range from single and twin/double to family rooms (the family unit sleeps up to 4 on 2 beds plus a sofa). The property is older and the furniture is basic and practical - not modern or plush. Rooms are generally clean but can feel compact, especially the bathrooms. Natural ventilation is via windows only; there is no air conditioning, so summer nights can become very warm and stuffy. Street-facing rooms can be noisy from traffic and nearby venues, while rooms on higher or quieter sides are noticeably calmer. The double beds are two single mattresses pushed together, which may separate slightly during use. For cyclists, the underground garage allows bike storage for a fee.

The hotel serves a daily buffet breakfast with bread, pastries, cold cuts, cheese, eggs, bacon, jams, cereals, juice and hot drinks. On weekdays it opens at 06:30, ideal for early sightseeing or business trips; at weekends it starts at 08:00. The breakfast room can get busy, and the very limited options for plant-based milk are worth confirming if needed. There is no on-site restaurant, bar or room service - dining is restricted to breakfast only. A golf course lies within 3 km. The hotel's location near the Entenwerder peninsula also gives easy access to parkland and river views for outdoor leisure. For other activities or relaxation, guests will need to plan external visits.
