HOTEL AM ROTHENBAUM, Hamburg

The hotel sits directly across from Hallerstraße U-Bahn station, providing a direct connection to Hamburg's main station within 10 minutes. The Hamburg Messe exhibition centre is a 15-minute walk away, making the hotel suitable for business travellers and event visitors. The surrounding Rotherbaum district offers several restaurants, cafés and a supermarket within walking distance (0.3 to 0.5 km). For guests arriving by car, parking is limited: free public spaces can be found nearby but are not guaranteed and are subject to time restrictions (up to 3 hours with a paid ticket during the day). Night parking is free. Easypark app is recommended for convenience. The hotel is also 200 metres from the Rothenbaum tennis courts and close to the Außenalster park.

Rooms are modern and include free Wi-Fi, big flat-screen TVs, iPhone docking stations and laptop safes. Single, small double, and double rooms are available. The small double room has a bed measuring 140 cm wide and 200 cm long, and some rooms feature a balcony with garden views. Note that room sizes are often described as compact, especially the small double and single rooms, which may feel tight for two people or for longer stays. Beds in these smaller rooms can be against the wall, making access from one side only. Rooms facing the street can be noisy; rear-facing rooms are quieter. There is no air conditioning, and opening windows may let in insects. Some rooms may have limited storage and no wardrobe. Bathrooms are functional but small; showers are best suited for people of average height and build. The property is older and feels basic, but cleanliness is consistently maintained.
