LA PLANQUE HOTEL, Paris

The hotel sits in a lively yet peaceful area near the trendy Canal Saint-Martin, with many restaurants, cafés, bakeries, and three grocery stores within a short walk. The Eiffel Tower is 25-30 minutes away by metro. Gare de l'Est is a 20-minute walk (or 14 minutes via public transport), Gare du Nord is 2 km away, and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport is 17 km from the hotel. The metro line 11 gives fast access to central sights like the Pompidou Centre (3 km) and the Louvre Museum (4 km). For transfers from Gare de Lyon with heavy luggage, a taxi or Uber is recommended due to stairs at metro stations. Walking to major landmarks such as Notre-Dame takes about 40 minutes, making the location suitable for car-free exploration.

Room types include double, triple, superior, and deluxe. All rooms feature soundproof walls, air conditioning, a work desk, safe deposit box, wardrobe, hairdryer, flat-screen TV, and free toiletries. The superior rooms on higher floors offer views of the Paris rooftops. Triple rooms include an actual single bed (not a sofa bed). Deluxe rooms provide extra space for luggage or longer stays. Some rooms overlook a quiet inner courtyard. Each floor has two superior rooms. Bathrooms include either a bath or shower with good water pressure. Rooms are decorated in a clean, artistic, boutique style, and are kept very clean. For the quietest night, a room at the back of the hotel or on a higher floor is recommended.

The hotel provides a 24-hour front desk with multilingual staff (including some German). Luggage storage is free and available for early arrivals or late departures. Free WiFi is available in all rooms. The lift is small but functional. A shared lounge and TV area offer a relaxed space, and children are welcome (cots are available). Safety features include 24-hour security, key card access, a safety deposit box, fire extinguishers, and smoke alarms. Room service is available. There is no laundry service on-site, but a nearby laundry is within walking distance. Housekeeping refreshes rooms daily. The hotel does not offer early check-in, but will let guests into a room early if available.
