EMBASSY SUITES BY HILTON RALEIGH CRABTREE, Raleigh

The hotel sits directly across Glenwood Avenue from Crabtree Valley Mall, a 10-minute walk via the parking area. The free shuttle covers a 3 km radius, making trips to the mall, nearby restaurants, and the airport (7am-11pm) straightforward. The state Capitol, Museum of Science, North Carolina State University, and the North Carolina Museum of Art are within a short distance. While the location is convenient for drivers and shuttle users, walking to the mall and some nearby eateries (Moe's, Big Easy Cajun within 0.5 km) is feasible. The parking garage is on-site, though spaces can be tight for larger vehicles.

Suites are spacious and include a separate seating area with a sofa bed, two flat-screen cable TVs, and a bathroom with granite countertops. Most bathrooms have walk-in showers; shower/tub combos are available in some rooms. Corner King Suites on floors 2-9 are the largest, and adjoining rooms (King + Double Beds) can be requested but not guaranteed. Premium floor rooms add a Keurig coffee machine and a daily tray of snacks, sodas, and waters. No rooms have a balcony or hot tub. The condition of rooms is variable-some are well-maintained and quiet, while others show wear, with dated carpets and furniture. Air conditioning is present, but some units have been reported to require resetting. The suites are comfortable for families, and the layout with a door separating the living and sleeping areas provides privacy.

Breakfast is included for all registered guests and runs from 6:30-9:30am on weekdays, 7-10am on weekends. A made-to-order omelet station is a highlight, alongside hot buffet items, continental choices, and a variety of beverages. Room service is available from 5pm-10pm. The on-site restaurant, AXIS, serves American cuisine for lunch, dinner, and cocktails, with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options. The daily evening reception (5:30-7:30pm) in the main bar offers one wine or beer per person plus snacks and a full bar for purchase. The bar staff is noted for friendly, attentive service. A small on-site minimarket provides additional snacks and drinks.

The indoor pool is heated to 27 °C and open from 8am-10pm daily, with a 2-3pm break for cleaning. Access requires a reservation for a time slot, and pool/beach towels are provided. Sun loungers surround the pool area, which also has a lounge space. The fitness centre is free and stocked with modern equipment. A public bath is available. The pool is popular with families, especially as a year-round activity. There is no spa, hot tub, or jacuzzi on the property.

The front desk operates 24/7 and offers complimentary bottled water and snacks upon arrival. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Shuttle service runs within 3 km and to RDU Airport from 7am-11pm; guests must call the hotel to arrange pickup. Parking is private on-site (garage and outdoor), costs $10 per day, and does not require a reservation. Laundry and dry cleaning are available for an additional charge. The business centre and meeting/banquet facilities can be used, and express check-in/out is free. Accessibility features include wheelchair-accessible parking, a lift, and accessible rooms with roll-in showers. A safety deposit box is provided, and key card access is used for security. The overall service from front desk staff is consistently praised, particularly for helpfulness and efficiency.
