EPISODE 11 HOSTEL SUKHUMVIT, Bangkok

The hostel sits in the heart of Bangkok's entertainment district, surrounded by bars, clubs, and street food. Emporium Shopping Mall is 2 km away, Central Embassy is a 16-minute walk, and Amarin Plaza is also 2 km from the property. The location is excellent for public transport: BTS Nana station connects directly to Siam, Chit Lom, and the Airport Rail Link at Phaya Thai. For those arriving from Don Mueang Airport, take the Dark Red Line to Bang Sue, then the Blue Line to Sukhumvit, followed by a 10-minute walk. The area is lively and can be noisy at night, especially on the street-facing side of the building.

All rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with a work desk, minibar, and free toiletries. The double room includes a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer. The twin room has parquet floors, a seating area, a wardrobe, and city views. Dormitory beds come with two pillows, a blanket, a personal reading light, and a locker. Some rooms are located directly next to the reception and common area, where conversations can be heard clearly; rooms on higher floors or away from this area tend to be quieter. The mattresses are firm, and the air conditioning is set to a constant cool temperature - lighter sleepers may want to bring earplugs.

A rooftop cafe/lounge provides free coffee and water throughout the day, with outdoor seating overlooking the street. For hot meals, there is a 24-hour McDonald's at the building's entrance, and dozens of restaurants on Soi 11 serve Thai, Indian, and international cuisine - all within a 5-minute walk. Guests can also use the minimarket on site for drinks and snacks. No kitchen facilities are available for guest use.

WiFi is free in all areas but can be slow and intermittent, especially in rooms farther from the router. Laundry service is very affordable and handled on site. Daily housekeeping keeps shared bathrooms and common areas clean, but rooms are not serviced unless requested. A minimarket sells drinks and toiletries. Luggage storage is free, which is useful for early arrivals or late departures. The front desk is not staffed 24/7, so plan accordingly for late-night check-ins or to collect your refundable deposit. The lift serves all floors and is working. No business or meeting facilities are available.
