AV HOTEL MILANO, Milan

The hotel sits directly opposite Milano Centrale, the city's main transport hub. The metro station is 55 metres away, placing the Duomo just 7 minutes by underground. Corso Buenos Aires, a major shopping street, is a 10-minute walk. The neighbourhood is busy and well-connected, with numerous restaurants, bars, and cafés within a two-minute radius. Street noise can be significant, particularly on the road-facing side, but the area remains active and well-patrolled. For airport transfers, bus stops for Malpensa, Linate, and Bergamo are at the station. Walking to the hotel requires some attention: the entrance is on the first floor of an office building with no external signage, so following the address carefully is recommended. Parking is available at a nearby garage, as the hotel has no private lot.

Room sizes vary significantly; some are spacious with modern décor and large windows, while others are notably compact and dark. All rooms include air conditioning, heating, soundproofing, and free Wi-Fi. No in-room tea/coffee facilities, mini-fridge, or kettle are provided, but a kettle can be borrowed on request. The private bathrooms are generally updated and clean, though shower drainage can be poor, and some bathrooms lack adequate shelving. Noise insulation between rooms is limited; conversations and bathroom sounds from adjacent rooms can be clearly heard. Rooms facing the street may experience traffic and night-time noise. A few rooms have been noted as dimly lit, with a dark colour scheme and minimal natural light. Daily housekeeping is provided and the bedding is frequently praised for comfort.

Wi-Fi is free in all areas, though signal strength can be weak in some rooms. Luggage storage is offered before check-in and after check-out, with bags accessible until midnight of the check-out day - a practical option for late departures. Express check-in/out is available free of charge. The hotel provides a safety deposit box, 24-hour security, CCTV, and key-card access. A concierge service and a shared lounge/TV area are on site. Room service and fax/photocopying are offered. There is a lift, and the property has facilities for disabled guests, including a bathroom emergency cord. Parking is via a nearby public garage with a 10% hotel discount, and street parking (blue stripes, paid) is an alternative. No pets are allowed.
