FAIRFIELD INN & SUITES EFFINGHAM, Effingham

The hotel sits right off Interstate 70, making it easy to find as a stopover between destinations. Decatur Airport is 100 km away. While the location is not within walking distance of dining, there are plenty of restaurants within a 2 km drive, including Tk Grille, Chili's, Panda Express, and more. The area feels safe and provides convenient parking for vehicles with trailers or extra cargo. For guests without a car, there is no airport shuttle or nearby public transport, so planning on driving is essential.

Rooms at Fairfield Inn & Suites Effingham include family-friendly options with sofa beds, spa baths, and walk-in showers. All rooms are air-conditioned and feature flat-screen satellite TVs, work desks, hairdryers, and ironing facilities. The rooms are noted for being large, comfortable, and quiet, especially if not facing the highway. Suites offer extra space and can be particularly generous. Bathrooms feature tubs with grab rails and roll-in showers in accessible rooms. The property has recently been updated, and the environment consistently feels clean and well-maintained. A potential note: on very hot nights, the thermostat may struggle to keep the room cool.

The indoor pool and hot tub are available for guest use. The fitness center offers a good selection of cardio machines and free weights. There is no spa on site. The pool area is accessible and has a self-operating lift or sloped entry. Although the pool is not heavily used at all times, it provides a welcome option for unwinding after a day on the road.

The 24-hour front desk provides wake-up calls, dry cleaning, and check-in/check-out services. There is one elevator to access upper floors.
