FOUND HOTELS, SANTA MONICA, SERIES BY MARRIOTT, Los Angeles

LosAngeles International Airport is 15km away. Venice Beach Boardwalk is 8km, and major attractions such as Getty Center and Universal Studios Hollywood are within a short drive. The immediate area has fast-food restaurants, a 7-Eleven, and a Target within a 10-minute walk. Street parking is free after 6PM until 8AM but requires careful attention to signs. The neighbourhood can feel gritty, especially at night, but the hotel maintains 24-hour security and keyless entry. Bus routes 1 and 4 stop outside, providing direct access to Santa Monica Beach and downtown LosAngeles without a car.

Private rooms feature a desk, wardrobe, and modern bathroom with shower; some offer city views, while interior rooms are quieter. Construction is basic but clean, with daily housekeeping provided. Thin walls and noisy air-conditioning units are known issues, and carpets can show wear. Motion-activated outlets shut off automatically, which may affect medical devices. Earplugs are supplied for rooms facing the boulevard. Dormitory beds come with individual lockable drawers and USB ports. For the best sleep, request a room away from Santa Monica Boulevard and confirm that the AC unit is functioning correctly.

Paid self-parking (US$33/day) is first-come, first-served with a steep garage entrance; valet parking (US$35+tax) offers in-and-out privileges. Free street parking is available after 6PM until 8AM, but tickets are common if regulations are missed. Wi-Fi is free in rooms but can be intermittent. The laundry room has coin-operated washers and dryers. Luggage lockers allow early drop-off and late retrieval. The property is fully non-smoking and does not accept pets. Keyless entry and 24-hour security staff help maintain a safe environment despite the surrounding area.
