The hotel is located on Coast Village Road in Montecito, directly in the middle of an area filled with upscale boutiques, bakeries, and dining. Butterfly Beach is about a 12-15 minute walk away, though the hotel provides complimentary beach cruiser bicycles for a faster ride. Downtown Santa Barbara is a 10-minute drive, and the University of California Santa Barbara is 20 minutes away. Stearns Wharf is 10 minutes by car. Freeway access is simple, and a grocery store and pharmacy are nearby for essentials.

Bar Lou and Lion's Tale cocktail bars are also within the hotel. For other meals, the Montecito dining scene offers a wide range of choices from Mexican to Italian within a short walk.

The outdoor heated swimming pool is open all year and enclosed by a fence, with comfortable lounge chairs and couches. Pool and beach towels are supplied. The pool can be used until 10:00 pm. The hotel also offers complimentary beach cruiser bicycles, ideal for reaching Butterfly Beach about 2 km away or for a bike ride along the coast.
