The hotel sits in a densely packed commercial area filled with mobile phone and electronics shops, supermarkets, and Indian restaurants. The immediate streets can feel chaotic and are best navigated on foot during daylight. Two Green Line metro stations - Al Ghubaiba and Sharaf DG - are each about a 10-12 minute walk away, providing direct access to the city's rail network. Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, Dubai Museum, and the Dubai Creek with its abra boat rides are within a 15-minute walk. The Al Ghubaiba bus station is nearby, offering routes to Abu Dhabi and other Emirates. Driving is practical thanks to free on-site basement parking, but the hotel's entrance on a one-way street with malfunctioning traffic lights can cause delays. Taxis take time to pick up due to the congested road. For car-free exploration of the old city, the location works well; for accessing Dubai Marina, Palm Jumeirah, or newer districts, a metro ride or longer taxi trip is needed.

Rooms vary in size from compact doubles to large quadruple and family configurations that can include two interconnecting bedrooms and two bathrooms. All rooms have air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a safe, and a wardrobe. The private bathrooms include a bath and shower, hairdryer, and free toiletries; some bathrooms are showing wear with peeling paint or mould. Triple rooms have one queen and two single beds, while quadruple rooms include three beds. Balconies are not available - windows face either the street or an internal courtyard, and many windows cannot be opened, which can lead to a musty smell in some rooms. Soundproofing is limited: noise from corridors, adjacent rooms, and the floor above is noticeable, so rooms away from the elevator and on higher floors are quieter. Daily housekeeping replenishes bottled water, tea, and coffee, and changes towels. Cooking facilities are not provided, but a mini-cooler (small fridge) and electric kettle are standard.

Breakfast is a paid buffet (35 AED per person) that includes a wide range of Indian dishes, with some continental options such as bread, hard cheese, and fresh omelettes made to order. The buffet is heavily oriented toward Indian palates, with limited Western choices. Halal and vegetarian options are available, but Jain and vegan dishes are not provided. The breakfast hall can be noisy due to the volume of guests. Dinner at the same restaurant offers a menu of Chinese, Indian, International, and European dishes, plus meat and vegetable options. The restaurant is open daily from 07:00 to 23:00. For guests wanting more variety, the surrounding streets contain many Indian and international restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets within a short walk.

The rooftop pool is open all year, surrounded by a fence and equipped with sun umbrellas and free pool/beach towels. It is modest in size but generally quiet and well-maintained. The fitness centre is free for guests and offers a decent range of equipment for a standard workout. A travel desk on site can assist with booking local tours.

Free Wi-Fi is accessible throughout the property. The basement parking is free, private, and does not require a reservation, but guests need to get a stamped ticket each time they exit.
