Hotel Details

Location

Ginevra Palace Hotel is 5 km from St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museums, with Battistini Metro Station a 15-20 minute walk away.

The hotel sits in a quiet residential area with industrial surroundings. The nearest bus stop is a 5-minute walk; bus 916 reaches central Rome in about 30 minutes. Fiumicino Airport is 20 km away - a fixed-price private transfer costs €70. Guests arriving by car can use on-site parking (€10/day). Several restaurants are within 1-2 km, including Gildo il Cacciatore and Mattarello. The area has limited street lighting and some uphill paths; the metro walk is manageable but less suitable for those with heavy luggage or mobility concerns.

Accommodation

Rooms are air-conditioned and include free WiFi, flat-screen TV, soundproof walls, wardrobe, safe, and a private bathroom with shower, bidet, and hairdryer.

Room types range from single to family rooms. Sizes vary - some are spacious and modern, others compact with worn furniture and outdated finishes. Cleanliness has been inconsistent; dust, bathroom mould, and infrequent linen changes have occurred. Sound insulation is limited; noise from adjacent rooms and corridors is common. Triple and family rooms offer city views. No tea/coffee making facilities or kettles are provided. Lighting is dim in some rooms (only one bedside lamp). Bed comfort varies; some find beds comfortable, others too firm or soft.

Dining

Breakfast is available for an additional €5 and consists of a continental buffet with bread, pastries, eggs, cheese, cold cuts, and coffee.

The buffet includes hot items like scrambled eggs and sausages but the selection is fixed daily with limited fresh fruit and vegetables. The hotel has a coffee house and snack bar on site. There is no restaurant; several eateries are within 1-2 km, including a halal restaurant 2 km away. Breakfast is the only meal served; guests can find lunch and dinner options in the surrounding area.

Wellness and Leisure

A free fitness centre is available for guests; there is no pool or spa.

The fitness centre is complimentary and open 24/7. Plans to relocate it are underway to prevent noise disturbance to adjoining rooms. No swimming pool or spa facilities are on site.
