The ferry from Kirribilli Wharf is the most convenient and scenic way to reach the city, but services are less frequent in the evenings and on weekends. Sydney International Airport is 15 km away. The area is safe and walkable, with cafes, restaurants, and Luna Park within a 15-minute walk. The property has a slight hill, typical for excellent harbour views, so comfortable footwear is recommended.

Rooms are a mix of basic budget and more spacious options. Many rooms share bathrooms, which are cleaned regularly but can be small and subject to noise from adjacent use. Rooms on the ground floor near common areas (e.g., laundry) can be noisy. Some rooms are compact and older, with dated carpets and furnishings; upkeep can vary. Upgraded rooms with private bathrooms and balconies offer a significantly better experience. All rooms include a ceiling fan, refrigerator, TV, and tea/coffee making facilities. Some rooms have a flat-screen TV and air conditioning. Rooms with a private bathroom include a shower, hairdryer, and free toiletries. The best value is found in rooms with a private balcony and harbour views.

The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety: eggs, bacon, sausages, beans, pancakes, roasted tomatoes, mushrooms, cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit, juices, and good coffee. The property is within walking distance of Sydney Harbour, Luna Park, and Kirribilli House. The scenic ferry ride from the wharf provides a unique way to explore Sydney. No other wellness facilities (pool, spa, gym) are available on the property.
