HAMPTON INN COLUMBUS I-70E/HAMILTON ROAD, Columbus

The hotel sits near the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum (10 km) and Columbus Museum of Art (13 km). Downtown Columbus is a short drive. The surrounding area has a run-down appearance with limited immediate dining, though several chain restaurants are within a few minutes' drive. The entrance is tucked behind a Red Lobster and can be difficult to spot at night; clearer signage is needed. The parking lot is small and poorly lit, and vehicle break-ins have been reported. Free parking is available on site with no reservation required.

The rooms are basic and show significant wear: stained carpets, dated furniture, and occasional musty odors. Beds are firm and pillows are small. Cleanliness is inconsistent; some rooms have been renovated and are in better condition. Ground-floor and wheelchair-accessible rooms are available. No rooms have balconies. The property is non-smoking, though some rooms may retain cigarette smoke smell. Air conditioning and heating function reliably.

Breakfast includes hot eggs, sausage, home fries, waffles, oatmeal, cereal, breads, and beverages. The dining area is kept clean by an attendant, and supplies are replenished. While the breakfast is generally adequate, the variety and quality can vary between stays. There is no restaurant or bar on site; guests needing lunch or dinner must go off-property. Snack items are available for purchase at the front desk.

The indoor pool is heated and generally open, though cleanliness (cloudy water, mold on tiles) has been inconsistent. The hot tub is available. The fitness centre has a treadmill, stationary bike, and a limited set of free weights (up to 34 kg). No spa or sauna is present. The pool area has been noted for its temperature and usability, but condition may vary.

The hotel offers express check-in/out, a business centre, and meeting/banquet facilities for a fee. Laundry and dry cleaning are available at an extra charge. Security includes CCTV and safety deposit boxes. Wheelchair access is provided throughout. The front desk hours are 24/7, but service quality can be inconsistent. No airport shuttle is offered. The property is under renovation, with some rooms already updated. Accepted payment methods include major credit cards and UnionPay.
