HAMPTON INN & SUITES DALLAS DOWNTOWN, Dallas

The hotel sits on Commerce Street, a busy downtown artery with high pedestrian and car traffic. Deep Ellum is 500 metres away, offering live music and dining, while the Dallas Convention Center is a 700-metre walk. Interstate 30, I-35E, and US 75 provide easy road access. Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport is a 20-minute drive, and Love Field is 9 km away. Public transportation is available via the nearby train station. However, the immediate area has a noticeable homeless population, and constant traffic noise is present. Those planning late-night outings should arrange transport rather than walk.

The property offers a variety of room types, including king rooms with showers and 2-queen suites with a living area (note: no separate bedroom door). All rooms feature air conditioning, heating, ironing facilities, and a tea/coffee maker. Corner rooms provide extra windows and city views. Decor may feel dated, and some furniture shows signs of wear. Beds are generally comfortable, though some may find them too firm. Daily housekeeping is not automatic; request it at the front desk. No rooms have balconies. In-room safes are not available, but small safes can be used at the front desk. The hotel is non-smoking throughout.

The indoor pool is open from 7am to 10pm year-round and is large enough for swimming. Note that the pool area is not air-conditioned, so it can feel warm for those not swimming. The fitness centre has a range of equipment. There is no spa or jacuzzi on the property. Free towels are provided at the pool.

Valet parking is offered at $38 per night, and self-parking in the attached garage costs $28-$50. The hotel has lifts, but some are small and occasionally malfunction. Luggage storage is free for early arrivals or late departures. The business centre and meeting rooms are accessible. No pets are allowed (service dogs accepted). A $50 per night refundable deposit is required. An ATM is on site. Housekeeping is available upon request.
