Key landmarks: 2-minute drive (15-minute walk) to the Oregon Convention Center, 5-minute drive (22-minute walk) to Moda Center and Memorial Coliseum, and about 13 km from PDX (roughly 15 minutes by car). Public transport is excellent - the MAX light rail and multiple bus lines serve the area, and a Nike Biketown bike-share station is between the two properties. For drivers, on-site parking is available but limited and paid; street parking is free on weekends but personal belongings should be removed from cars. The immediate area has a lively bar and music scene, and the location feels safe to walk during the day and evening.

Jupiter Original houses 81 rooms in a converted 1960s motor lodge. Each room features wall-sized music murals, chalkboard doors (with chalk provided), mid-century modern furnishings, free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, and bath amenities. Rooms open directly onto outdoor walkways and the central courtyard. The walls are thin; noise from neighbors, the courtyard, and live music can be an issue, especially in ground-floor rooms near event tents. Rooms lack a minibar (a stocked bar fridge is present), coffee maker, microwave, and closet (only hooks). Some rooms have no operable windows, and the air conditioning can be noisy. Rooms feel compact and basic; some have reported musty smells and mold in bathrooms. Jupiter NEXT is a newly built 6-story structure with interior hallways and elevators. Rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows with city views, 60-inch flat-screen TVs, mini refrigerators, high-speed Wi-Fi, and air conditioning. The NEXT rooms are more spacious, quieter, and include private bathrooms with better soundproofing. Some rooms at NEXT are ADA-accessible with roll-in showers.

Doug Fir Lounge is located at Jupiter Original, offering a mid-century bar and restaurant with live music most nights until 23:30. The menu features burgers and pub-style food; breakfast is no longer served. Hey Love is in the Jupiter NEXT lobby, serving tropical-inspired comfort food, cocktails, and weekend brunch (open daily 15:00-00:00 weekdays, 10:00-00:00 weekends). For breakfast, grab-and-go options and complimentary coffee are available in the Jupiter NEXT lobby each morning. The surrounding neighborhood is packed with dining options - Canard, Nong's Khao Man Gai, Normandie, and many more are within a 5-minute walk. Food cart pods are also nearby.

The hotel does not have a fitness center, pool, or spa. However, guests can access nearby wellness amenities: Knot Springs (a few blocks away) offers a wellness social club with heated soaking pools, cold plunge, wet and dry sauna - available through the Get Fresh Package.
