HAMPTON INN & SUITES SAN JOSE, San Jose

The hotel is located on a busy industrial road adjacent to the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds, approximately 10 minutes by car from San Jose International Airport and downtown. The immediate surroundings include salvage yards, RV storage, and manufacturing facilities, with a homeless encampment nearby. Walking at night is not recommended. However, several fast-food restaurants and a Target shopping centre are within a short drive or longer walk. For day-to-day errands, a grocery store and gas station are also close. The area offers convenient freeway access for exploring broader Silicon Valley. Free on-site public parking is available, but the lot lacks visible security cameras, so keeping valuables out of sight is advised.

Breakfast is included with all stays and offers a typical American hotel buffet with items such as scrambled eggs, sausage patties, French toast, waffles, fresh fruit, yoghurt, and several breads and pastries. Coffee, tea, and flavoured water are available around the clock in the lobby. Vegetables and omelettes also appear. The breakfast area is clean and well-maintained. In the evening, complimentary snacks and drinks are offered during a nightly reception. For those wanting additional variety, a Panera Bread, Tapioca Express, a frozen-yoghurt shop, and a pizza restaurant are within 0.5-1 km. Vending machines with drinks and snacks operate 24/7.

The outdoor pool is small but heated, open during the warmer months. A small pool area with outdoor furniture provides a place to relax, but the pool's condition has varied. A hot tub is not available. The fitness centre includes cardio machines and free weights, open 24 hours. A children's play area is available on the property. The hotel also offers racquetball facilities. The pool and fitness centre are accessible without additional charge.

Internet access is complementary and strong throughout the property. The front desk is staffed around the clock and can assist with express check-in/out. Daily housekeeping service includes trash removal and light tidying; sheet changes are not performed automatically during a stay but can be requested. Dry cleaning and laundry services are available for an additional fee. The hotel provides a safety deposit box at the front desk for valuables. Meeting and banquet facilities can host up to 100 people, and a business centre with computers and printing is open during business hours. Accessible rooms and facilities are available. Pets are not allowed. Vending machines with snacks and drinks are located in the lobby.
