The hostel sits in the central Okanagan Valley, within easy walking distance of city park, Hot Sands Beach, and Bernard Avenue's shops and restaurants. The bus station is 15-20 minutes on foot, and bus route 97 to UBCO campus stops a 10-minute walk away. Knox Mountain hiking and Summerhill Pyramid Winery are a short drive, while Big White ski resort is about an hour's drive. The immediate area offers a Safeway grocery store and a variety of dining options within a few blocks.

Private rooms are for up to two people and come in twin or double configuration, with either a private bathroom (some en-suite) or a shared bathroom. Dormitories include 4-bed female-only rooms and 8-bed mixed dorms, currently operated at 50% capacity to allow more space. All rooms have air conditioning, though some units are noted to be noisy and less effective. Secure lockers are provided in some rooms (bring your own padlock). Rooms vary in size; some are compact with limited storage. Bedding quality is inconsistent-pillows and mattress protectors in some rooms show wear and staining. Traffic noise and hallway sounds can be an issue, especially in rooms facing the main road or near the entrance door.

The hostel does not serve breakfast or operate a restaurant. The large shared kitchen includes multiple appliances, cookware, and ample fridge space, but note that the kitchen and dining areas close at 10:00 PM daily. A vending machine offers drinks and snacks. Several cafés, restaurants, and a Safeway grocery store are within a 5-10 minute walk for alternative dining options. Free coffee is provided in the morning.

The hostel features a large outdoor area with a covered patio, picnic tables, and barbecue grills-ideal for relaxing or socializing. Inside, a game room offers billiards and foosball, plus board games and a shared TV lounge. There is no swimming pool or spa on site. Nearby, Hot Sands Beach and city park are a short walk, and tennis courts are in the vicinity.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. Luggage storage is available, and lockers are present in some rooms. Daily housekeeping is offered, though cleanliness standards vary. Laundry service is available for an additional charge. The front desk operates until midnight; late arrivals after midnight require prior arrangement and a CAD 20 fee. On-site parking costs CAD 10 per day and is first-come, first-served; off-street parking is also available. The property is adults-only (minimum 18), does not allow pets, and requires a credit card for booking and check-in. Safety features include CCTV, smoke alarms, and key access.
