HILTON CHECKERS LOS ANGELES, Los Angeles

The hotel sits at the heart of downtown, with Pershing Square Subway Station 5 minutes away, giving direct access across the city. Within a 10-minute walk are Walt Disney Concert Hall, Los Angeles Theatre, and the LA Convention Center. Numerous restaurants and coffee shops like Pitchoun and Starbucks are within a block. The area is a business district, so streets can be quiet after hours; some surrounding blocks may feel less secure at night. The Fashion District and shopping boutiques are nearby. For airport trips, plan to use a rideshare or taxi - the hotel does not offer a shuttle.

Breakfast is an American buffet offered daily at Checkers Downtown Restaurant, priced at $29 per person. The buffet includes hot and cold items, though quality is described as basic. The 1927 Bar+Kitchen opens for dinner (American cuisine, 5-9pm) and provides a room-service pickup option. There is also Checker's Lounge for martinis and a lobby bar. A $10 daily food and beverage credit (part of the mandatory destination fee) can be used at these outlets, but amounts not used on a given day are forfeited. For a wider selection, many cafés and restaurants are within a short walk, including Pitchoun, 71Above, and Bottega Louie.

The fitness centre is complimentary and open 24 hours, but some equipment may show wear. The hotel's rooftop terrace offers outdoor seating and views over downtown, and is particularly popular during summer evenings when the rooftop bar operates (Friday and Saturday, 6-11pm). There is no swimming pool, spa, or jacuzzi. Walking tours, bike tours, and happy hour events are available at an additional charge. The sun terrace and rooftop are the primary leisure spaces.

Parking is valet-only at $49/night (unlimited in/out), with no self-parking option. The nearby public garage closes at 6pm on weekdays and all weekend, making valet the only reliable choice. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas (lobby and lounge). Luggage storage is offered free of charge but may have limited capacity; confirm availability if planning a late checkout. The hotel provides 24-hour security, key-card elevator access, and a safety deposit box. Business services include fax/photocopying and meeting facilities (additional charge). Daily housekeeping is complimentary; laundry and dry cleaning are available for a fee. The reception desk can assist with express check-in/out and private check-in. Wheelchair-accessible rooms and facilities (Braille signage, grab rails, lowered sink) are present. No pets are allowed.
