Located in Champaign, the hotel is within walking distance of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus, including Memorial Stadium, the State Farm Center, and Krannert Art Museum. Downtown dining and shopping are 3 km away. The University of Illinois-Willard Airport is 9 km from the property. Nearby dining options include Merry Ann's Diner (0.5 km), Espresso Royale on Neil (0.5 km), and Vinny's East Coast Pizzeria (0.5 km). The hotel shares a parking lot with an adjacent hotel and a Walgreens, and the lot has speed bumps with protruding stakes that could damage tires. While the area is walkable for campus events, some have noted the neighborhood feels less secure at night, though the front desk reports no safety incidents.

All rooms feature a private bathroom with a shower, hairdryer, and free toiletries. Each includes air conditioning, a work desk, ironing facilities, a flat-screen cable TV (32-inch), a microwave, a refrigerator, and a Keurig coffee machine. Bed sizes vary, but mattresses are firm (not pillow-top). Some rooms have been recently renovated and are modern and clean. However, many rooms are described as dark due to limited lighting, and some have worn carpets, faded wallpaper, noisy air conditioning units, or loose bathroom tiles. Road-facing rooms may experience noise, but interior rooms are noted for being quiet. The property has a mix of renovated and older sections, so room quality can vary. No rooms have balconies. Housekeeping is provided every other day; towels are not replaced daily unless requested. Bathroom quality can be inconsistent - some showers have mold or loose tiles. On the positive side, many rooms are reported as spacious, clean, and comfortable, with excellent soundproofing between units.

Breakfast is an American-style buffet available each morning for an additional charge (typically $12-$17.99 per person). Service hours for breakfast are 6:00-9:00 on weekdays and 7:00-10:00 on weekends. The dinner menu runs from 5:00-9:00. The bar offers a full range of drinks. The hotel also has a 24-hour Pavilion Pantry for snacks, frozen meals, and drinks. Some visits have noted staffing shortages during busy periods, leading to long waits for service. The breakfast buffet quality is variable - some find it good with fresh items, while others describe it as cold or limited, especially later in the morning. For lighter meals, several cafés and restaurants are within a short walk (Merry Ann's Diner, Vinny's Pizzeria, Espresso Royale).

Internet is free in all areas. The hotel offers a business center, meeting/banquet facilities, and can reserve 10-25 rooms for groups. Express check-in/check-out is available. A safety deposit box is provided at reception. Laundry and dry cleaning services can be arranged. The property has a lift, is non-smoking throughout, and is wheelchair accessible with designated accessible parking. An ATM/cash machine is on site, and the nearest Bank of America ATM is 5 km away at the Illini Union. Service overall is noted as friendly and helpful, though front desk responsiveness can vary - some interactions have been efficient and welcoming, while others have been dismissive or slow. Housekeeping is every other day, and towel changes require a request. Parking is $6 per day, no reservation needed, but no valet or EV charging is available.
