The hotel sits on Bay Street, placing it directly in the action of Savannah's historic core. River Street, with its shops and bars, is about one block away, and City Market is adjacent. Dozens of restaurants, including Vinnie Van Go-Go's and Belford's Savannah, are within a 5-minute walk. Forsyth Park is a 15-20 minute walk or a 5-minute drive. The location is excellent for exploring without a car, but rooms facing West Bay Street can experience significant traffic noise, especially at night. Trolley and bus stops are nearby for easy access to other parts of the city.

A variety of room types are available, including standard rooms with one or two queen beds, spacious double rooms, suites with a separate seating area, and accessible rooms. All rooms include air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, tea and coffee making facilities, and a work desk. Many rooms also feature a microwave and a small refrigerator. Rooms with a balcony overlooking the city or river are available but limited. Rooms on lower floors or facing the pool can be affected by pool noise and bright pool lights. There are no rooms with a private hot tub, but a hot tub is located in the pool area. Road-facing rooms (odd numbers on Bay Street) are subject to loud traffic noise, sometimes persisting until early morning; even-numbered rooms or rooms at the back of the hotel are significantly quieter.

Breakfast is available each morning from 7:00 to 11:00 and includes an American buffet with made-to-order omelets and local dishes such as hot sweet peaches. Room service is offered for dinner, and the hotel bar serves beverages. A 24-hour market in the lobby sells snacks, beverages, and water for a fee.
