The location is ideal for Universal park visits, with the Universal shuttle departing from the sister hotel across the street. The area is walkable to many restaurants-including Red Lobster, Starlight Grille, KFC, Denny's, and Halal Food Express, all within 0.5 km-as well as a Walgreens pharmacy and an outlet mall. International Drive is very busy, but the hotel itself is set back enough to be relatively quiet. A car or ride-share is recommended for Disney properties, which are about a 20-minute drive away.

A King Suite features a separate living area and dining space, while a King Studio Suite is one open room with the same kitchen amenities. Rooms include air conditioning, heating, ironing facilities, tea and coffee maker, a sitting area, and free toiletries. The sofa bed provides additional sleeping space, and sheets and pillows are available in-room for the pullout. Some suites feature a full kitchen with a cooktop (lent by the front desk) and a full-size refrigerator-no oven or stove built into the room. The rooms are spacious enough for families, and the many cupboards and drawers help keep the space tidy. Potential noise from the ground floor and hallways may be a consideration for light sleepers.

Breakfast runs from 7am to 10am and includes hot items such as eggs, sausage or turkey sausage, biscuits, and waffles, as well as cold options like yogurt, fruit, and cereal. While the variety is standard for the category, some find the hot items less consistent in temperature. The breakfast can be taken to the room, which is convenient for early park departure.
