HOMEWOOD SUITES BY HILTON SAVANNAH, Savannah

The hotel sits in a busy commercial area with several restaurants, a Publix grocery store, and a shopping mall within walking distance. The historic district and River Street are about a 10-15 minute drive south; the main route passes through a scenic oak-lined avenue. Free parking on-site eliminates downtown parking concerns. A hotel shuttle offers scheduled trips to the historic district, providing a convenient alternative to driving. Tybee Island beaches are roughly 25 minutes away by car.

Each suite includes flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, a dining table, and in-room safe. Kitchens have a full-size refrigerator, microwave, cookware, and dishwasher. Rooms in Buildings 2 and 3 tend to be quieter and better maintained, while Building 1 has recurring issues with musty smells and moisture. Road noise is a factor for rooms facing White Bluff Road, especially on lower floors. Exterior-access doors are hollow-core, providing minimal sound insulation. Some rooms have been partially updated, but overall the property shows wear. Air conditioning may struggle to cool the room below 21 °C in hot weather. Select units offer a fireplace.

Breakfast is a buffet with hot items such as scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, waffles, grits, cereal, fruit, and coffee. On weekends the spread is more generous, while weekday selection can be more limited. The evening social (Monday-Thursday) offers beer, wine, and simple hot and cold appetizers. The breakfast and social area is in the lobby building; guests must walk outside to reach it from the room buildings, with no covered path. The kitchen in each suite allows self-catering; a Publix grocery is nearby.

The pool area is set in a courtyard surrounded by the hotel buildings. The pool is heated and a hot tub is available, though the hot tub has reported maintenance issues. The basketball court is near the rooms and has lights. A fitness center with basic equipment is on-site. The courtyard also includes a gazebo, grills, and picnic tables, often used for family gatherings.
