HOTEL DE LA CROIX-ROUSSE, Lyon

The hotel sits on the main street of the Croix-Rousse plateau, a lively area once home to Lyon's silk weavers. The Croix-Rousse Metro station (line C) is a one-minute walk, providing direct two-stop access to Hôtel de Ville and connections to the city centre. Parc de la Tête d'Or is a 15-minute walk across the river. The neighbourhood is dense with bistros, patisseries, bars, and a large Tuesday market held right outside. Most major attractions are within a 20-minute walk downhill. The central location means some rooms face the main road, but those with modern windows offer effective sound insulation.

The hotel does not serve breakfast or operate a restaurant. Vending machines in the lobby offer cold drinks and packaged snacks. A bistro and a bakery are located next to the hotel, and the street is lined with cafes, patisseries, and restaurants - many open from early morning. The weekly market also supplies fresh produce. For a wider selection, the Croix-Rousse neighbourhood offers numerous dining options within a two-minute walk.

Wi-Fi is free in all areas. Luggage storage is available at no charge, useful for early arrivals or late departures. Daily housekeeping and express check-in/out are complimentary. A safety deposit box at reception, 24-hour security, and CCTV provide basic safety. The hotel operates a vending machine for drinks and snacks. Private parking is offered off-site at a nearby garage (€12 per day, reservation required). Pets are allowed on request without extra fees. The lift serves most floors but may occasionally be out of service. The front desk can assist with concierge services, and the property is non-smoking throughout.
