HOSTAL ESCALA LUNA SALAMANCA, Salamanca

The hotel is perfectly placed for sightseeing: the Plaza Mayor, University of Salamanca, Old and New Cathedrals, and the Casa de las Conchas are all within a 5-minute walk on foot. The pedestrian streets around the hostal are filled with tapas bars, restaurants, and cafés - eight are directly within 0.5 km. Salamanca train station is about a 10- to 15-minute walk away. The street itself can be lively at night but rooms with good window insulation often remain quiet. Arriving by car requires parking at a public garage, as the street is pedestrian-only.

The Wi-Fi is free and generally works well, though occasional instability is reported. Luggage storage is available after checkout, allowing for hands-free exploration of the city. There is no lift - a known drawback as building regulations in the historic area prohibit elevator installation. The reception is staffed until late evening; early checkouts should arrange payment the night before, as the desk may not open until 09:00. The owner and reception team are consistently described as attentive, friendly, and happy to give local advice on sights, restaurants, and parking. Daily housekeeping keeps rooms clean, though towel changes are not automatic every day. A paid laundry service is available. Parking is not on-site: a discounted public garage is located nearby (approx. 10€/night, a 5-10 minute walk; free parking exists at the hospital area about 5 minutes' walk away, but spaces are limited).
