HOSTAL GRANADA, Salamanca

The property is ideally positioned for exploring Salamanca on foot - Plaza Mayor is a short walk away, and the historic centre, including the university (800 metres), is reachable within 5-10 minutes. The area is calm and safe, with multiple bars, cafés, and restaurants located within 300 metres. The immediate surroundings feature street art and a local atmosphere away from the busiest tourist crowds. Public parking (pay and display, free overnight and on weekends) is available on adjacent streets and within 100-200 metres of the entrance, making car access practical for those arriving by vehicle.

Rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with a practical layout. Wooden floors and dark wood furniture give a classic Spanish hostal feel. All rooms come with heating and air conditioning, and double-glazed windows help keep the space quiet and dark for sleep. Bathrooms are spacious and have good water pressure. A limited number of rooms offer a private balcony - request one when booking. While rooms are functional rather than luxurious, the combination of cleanliness, comfort, and quiet atmosphere makes them well-suited for both short stays and longer visits. The building has no lift, but staff are available to assist with luggage.

Breakfast is not served on site, but several cafés and bars nearby offer morning meals - one bar directly opposite the entrance is recommended for a simple breakfast. The area around Van Dyck Street and adjacent roads is filled with affordable tapas bars, eateries, and local restaurants, many of which are recommended by the front desk staff. A list of suggestions is provided at check-in. The hostal's location also places guests within easy reach of Salamanca's many dining options, from traditional Spanish fare to international cuisine.
