HOTEL REYES CATOLICOS, Salamanca

The hotel sits on the main route between the train station and the historic centre, making it easy to explore on foot. The Old Town's bars and restaurants are within a 10-minute walk, while the Plaza Mayor is about 15 minutes away. A supermarket is nearly opposite, and several bus stops are nearby for access to the rest of the city. Parking in the surrounding streets can be challenging, especially during peak times; the on-site garage is a practical alternative for those arriving by car.

The breakfast is a basic continental buffet including bread, pastries, butter, jam, and hot drinks. It is adequate for a light start, but those preferring a cooked or more varied morning meal will find several cafés and tapas bars within a short walk, particularly in the Van Dyke street area known for local dining. Vending machines for drinks and snacks are available in the 24-hour reception for quick refreshments. In-room breakfast delivery is possible, but advance arrangement is recommended.

Leisure options are limited to the surrounding city. The hotel is well placed for walking to Salamanca's main historical attractions, including the Plaza Mayor and cathedrals. The tour desk can provide maps and recommendations. For relaxation, there are numerous tapas bars and cafés nearby, particularly on Van Dyke street, offering a local dining experience.

The 24-hour reception offers vending machines, luggage storage, and a tour desk with city maps and local recommendations. Laundry and dry cleaning are available for an additional charge. Private on-site parking costs €12 per day and requires a reservation - the garage is secure but is best suited for smaller vehicles due to narrow access ramps. The property is accessible via a lift, though it may not operate at night. Payment can be made by Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or UnionPay. The staff are noted for providing helpful directions and restaurant advice, as well as assisting with luggage and parking arrangements.
