Atocha train station is 3 km away (about 30 minutes on foot, 10 minutes by taxi). Many key attractions - Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Royal Palace, Retiro Park, and the Prado Museum - are within a comfortable walking distance. The surrounding Malasaña neighbourhood is filled with tapas bars, restaurants, and shops. The property is one block from a supermarket and several dining options. A taxi from the airport to the hotel costs €40 and takes 20-30 minutes (must be reserved 24 hours in advance). The area is busy and lively, which adds to the convenience for sightseeing and dining.

Rooms are small and simply furnished - typical for a central Madrid hostal - with tiled floors, heating, a flat-screen TV, and free Wi-Fi. Many have windows facing the street (with double-glazing to reduce noise) or overlooking an interior patio. Approximately one-third of the rooms include a balcony. Some rooms feature a private bathroom with a shower and hairdryer, while others share a bathroom on the landing. A few rooms have the toilet and sink inside the main room with only a glass partition. Many rooms are equipped with a ceiling fan; however, the property does not have air conditioning. The building dates from the 19th century, so soundproofing between rooms is limited - noise from neighbours can be heard. Rooms with inward-facing windows tend to be quieter, while street-facing rooms are more exposed to outside noise. The lift provides access to the first floor.

There is no restaurant or breakfast service on site. However, the location is excellent for dining out. Several restaurants and cafés are within a 5-minute walk, including El Placer de la Carne, Tacocteleria, Restaurante Malecon, and Twin Pizza Valverde (all 0.5 km away). A supermarket sits almost directly opposite the property, useful for buying snacks, drinks, and basics. There is a shared refrigerator and a microwave available for guest use, which allows for simple meal preparation. The immediate area is packed with tapas bars, casual eateries, and international dining options.

There is no spa, pool, gym, or wellness centre at the hostal.
