Sol Metro station, less than 100 metres away, connects you across the city and to Atocha station for airport rail services. Numerous restaurants, cafés, and shops are right outside the door. While the central location means some noise from the square is inevitable, rooms facing the interior courtyard offer a quieter stay.

Room types include quadruples, triples, and doubles, all with private bathrooms and showers. Some rooms are more spacious, while others are compact but functional. Beds are comfortable, and rooms are cleaned daily. Air conditioning is available but may be centrally controlled and turned off at night - a few rooms have a fan as backup. Rooms on the fourth floor can only be reached by stairs after the third-floor elevator stop. Light sleepers should request a room facing the interior courtyard, as street-facing rooms can be noisy from late-night activity on the square.

The breakfast is a simple continental set - the same each day - with good coffee and fresh bread. It costs approximately €5. No restaurant is on site, but the surrounding area is packed with dining options, from traditional Spanish taverns like Casa Labra (0.5 km) and Restaurante Botín (0.5 km) to quick options like McDonald's and KFC. A vending machine with drinks is available at the property.

There is no spa, wellness centre, or swimming pool at Hostal Riesco. However, the property can arrange walking tours and pub crawls for an additional charge.
