Hostal Lesseps sits on a pedestrian-friendly street in Gràcia, one of Barcelona's most authentic neighbourhoods. Lesseps Metro Station (Line 3) is a 1-minute walk away, providing direct connections to Plaça de Catalunya and the city centre. Parc Güell is a 20-minute walk, and Casa Vicenç is 400 metres away. The beach is 30 minutes by metro. The surrounding streets are filled with bars, restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets and shops - a lively area with many dining options. A bus stop directly opposite the hostal serves buses to Parc Güell, and the main shopping street leading to Plaça de Catalunya is a pleasant 30-minute walk away. The neighbourhood feels safe and well-connected, ideal for car-free exploration.

The accommodation offers single, double and twin rooms, all approximately 12 m2. Each room includes parquet floors, a fan, central heating, a desk, and a flat-screen TV. Private bathrooms come with a shower, toilet, free toiletries, towels and a hairdryer (available from reception). Double and twin rooms all have private bathrooms; one single room has shared bathroom facilities and is currently not rented out. Interiors are simply decorated and functional rather than modern. Some rooms overlook interior courtyards and may feel darker and stuffy, while road-facing rooms can experience metro rumble from the line below. The narrow ventilation in courtyard rooms means smells can drift in, and soundproofing between rooms is minimal - conversations and plumbing noise can travel. Ceiling fans and desk fans are provided for cooling, but no air conditioning is installed. Wardrobes offer basic storage, and electric kettles can be requested from reception.

The hostal does not have a restaurant, dining room or serve any meals. There is no breakfast included with the room. Two vending machines in the reception area offer coffee, cold drinks and light snacks (cost €1 per coffee). The surrounding Gràcia neighbourhood, however, is filled with bakeries, patisseries and breakfast cafes just steps from the entrance, including popular spots like Fargo for coffee and pastries. Several casual restaurants, including Halal options, are within a 3-minute walk. A supermarket and pharmacy are also immediately nearby for self-catering. For guests who prefer to eat in, an electric kettle can be borrowed from reception for making hot water in the room.

The hostal's leisure offering is limited to its location; there are no on-site wellness or leisure facilities such as a spa, pool, sauna, jacuzzi or fitness centre. The property is a guesthouse focused on providing basic, clean accommodation in a well-connected neighbourhood. For recreation, guests walk 20 minutes to Parc Güell for outdoor leisure, or use the metro to reach Barcelona's beaches (30 minutes) or the city's cultural sites. The Gràcia district itself offers a lively local atmosphere with ample café and restaurant terraces.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property and generally works reliably for browsing and messaging. Daily housekeeping is provided free of charge, with linen changes and towel replacements during longer stays. Luggage storage is free both before check-in and after checkout, which is a practical help for those with early or late flights. Express check-in and check-out are offered. The reception desk is staffed daily from 14:00 to 22:00 and can assist with tour bookings, transport information, and requests such as an iron or electric kettle. A concierge service and fax/photocopying are also available.
