RINCON LOS TILOS, Malaga

Hostal Tilos is located 8 km from Malaga Airport, a 5-minute walk from the combined train and bus stations, making it ideal for travellers in transit. San Andres Beach is an 18-minute walk away, and Malaga Cathedral is 2 km from the property. The historic centre is a 15-20 minute walk to the east. The area is well-served by public transport and has many shops, supermarkets (Carrefour Express, Lidl), and casual restaurants within a few minutes' walk. The neighbourhood is practical and functional rather than picturesque, with easy car-free access to the rest of the city.

All rooms include air conditioning, heating, a private bathroom with a bath or shower, and a flat-screen TV with cable channels. Bed linen and towels are provided. Room sizes vary, with some being compact - suited for a short stay or for travellers with only carry-on luggage. The property is older and basic, with some rooms showing wear; modern upgrades are present in some bathrooms. Rooms on higher floors tend to be quieter. Noise from corridors and neighbouring rooms can be an issue, and some rooms may have residual tobacco smell despite the non-smoking policy.

Hostal Tilos does not provide a restaurant or breakfast service. There is a vending machine in the lobby for drinks and snacks. For meals, many casual Spanish restaurants, bars, and cafés are located within a 2-5 minute walk, including Sol y Sombre, Bar Aguilera, and Restaurante La Nora. Supermarkets are also nearby for self-catering supplies. The Maria Zambrano station itself has several takeaway and dining options.

Hostal Tilos does not have a spa, gym, or swimming pool. The closest beach, San Andres, is about an 18-minute walk from the property. The shared lounge area provides a space to relax indoors. For other leisure activities, the city centre and marina are a 20-minute walk or a short bus ride.

The property offers free WiFi in all areas, a lift, and daily housekeeping. Towels are changed daily and bed linen every three days; extra towel changes incur a fee. Luggage storage is available for free during reception hours and can be used before check-in or after check-out. A shared lounge/TV area is on site, as well as a vending machine for snacks and drinks. The reception provides a tour desk. Check-in is from 14:00 to 21:30, with a key-code system for late arrivals. Accepted payment methods include Visa, Maestro, and MasterCard. The building has key-card access and CCTV for security.
