The hotel sits on the 3rd floor of a building across from the main station, making it a top choice for train travellers. The airport tram (T2 line) stops at the station, providing a direct connection from Florence airport for €1.50. The Medici Chapel is 450 metres away, and Ponte Vecchio is a 15-minute walk. Several restaurants, cafes and a Carrefour Express supermarket are within 300 metres. The surrounding area is central but busy; street-facing rooms can be affected by traffic and pedestrian noise until late evening. The location is also near main bus stops, making it easy to reach cultural sites and the surrounding region.

Room sizes vary - some are spacious and can comfortably fit a family of four (queen bed plus two twin beds), while others, particularly the standard double rooms, are compact. Rooms with a balcony overlooking the main street offer a view of Santa Maria Novella church, but these are limited and cannot be guaranteed upon arrival. Bed preference (twin or double) can be requested at booking, and the hotel will often accommodate specific requests if communicated in advance. Rooms come with an electric kettle for tea/coffee, a small fridge, and an iron. Many reviews mention that rooms are very clean and comfortable, but that some rooms - especially those adjacent to the reception desk - can be noisy due to thin doors and conversations at the front desk. Upper-floor noise from moving furniture is occasionally reported. The en-suite bathrooms are functional; some are described as compact, with the toilet positioned close to the sink, but all are clean and well-maintained. Some rooms have outdated furniture, but overall the accommodation is well-suited for short stays and city exploration.

Breakfast is served in a dedicated breakfast room with wooden floors and red fabrics. The selection includes both sweet and savoury items, and staff are on hand to prepare coffee (including vegan cappuccino) upon request. The hotel does not have its own restaurant or bar, but in-room breakfast can be arranged. Many guests find the breakfast good value for €8, with a varied spread that includes fresh pastries, bread, cheese and meats. For those who prefer a lighter option before an early departure, the surrounding streets offer several cafes and bars within a 3-5 minute walk. A Carrefour Express supermarket is directly downstairs for snacks and drinks.

Reception is staffed from 08:00 to around 19:00-22:00; outside these hours, guests use self-check-in with a pin code. Free luggage storage is available before check-in and after check-out, and the staff are known for their helpfulness with early arrivals. Express check-in/check-out is offered, and the front desk can assist with tour desk information, bike and walking tour bookings, and parking arrangements at a nearby garage (€35/day, reservation needed). Laundry service is available for a fee, and there is a self-service laundromat 100 metres away (open until 22:00). The building has a small lift that may be tight with large suitcases; stairs are an option for those who are able. No pool, spa or gym is present.
