EURHOTEL, Florence

The hotel is 800 metres from the airport building but not accessible on foot due to the highway; a taxi costs approximately 15 EUR and takes 3-5 minutes, or you can take bus line 35 from Piazza Leopolda Porta al Prato or tram line T2 from Santa Maria Novella station to the Guidoni stop, then walk 5-10 minutes. The city centre is 5 km away (20 minutes by direct bus or tram). Fortezza da Basso, Santa Maria Novella, and Palazzo Vecchio are about 5-6 km. Private parking on site is secure and gated, suitable for cars, and there is no ZTL restriction for the hotel. The neighbourhood is quiet at night but busy during the day; several restaurants (Bivio, Osteria della Bistecca) are within a 5-minute walk.

Room types include single, double, triple, and quadruple configurations. All rooms have a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer, a 32-inch flat-screen TV with satellite channels, wardrobe, parquet flooring, heating, air conditioning, and a work desk. Some rooms feature a fridge. Rooms overlooking the road are significantly affected by traffic noise; a rear-facing room or a higher floor provides quieter conditions. Ground-floor rooms near reception can be noisy. Some bathrooms are compact but functional. The property is older in places but maintained clean; many rooms have been refurbished with modern bathrooms. Mosquitoes can be an issue, so keeping windows closed is recommended.

Breakfast is included in the room rate and includes croissants, bread, butter, jam, coffee, tea, juice, and hot options such as eggs and bacon when available. The offering is basic continental style but sufficient for a start to the day. The coffee is from an automatic machine; some have found it poor. The breakfast room can be busy but staff are attentive. The 24-hour bar and snack bar provide a place for drinks. The on-site restaurant is available for dinner; for a broader choice, there are several restaurants within a 500-metre walk, including Bivio (noted for its bistecca fiorentina) and Bar La Terrazza.

The hotel provides a terrace and each room comes with a balcony, many overlooking the garden or the nearby hills and a football field where local teams train. The terrace is a calm spot for sitting out. There is no swimming pool, spa, or gym. For leisure, the garden area is available for use, and the football field is right next door. The 24-hour front desk can help arrange tours and guided visits to Florence and Tuscany, and the bar is open 24/7.
