HOTEL BLISS - BROOKLYN, New York

Located at the intersection of Shepherd and Essex streets on Linden Boulevard, the hotel is 6 km from John F. Kennedy International Airport, 7 km from Aqueduct Racetrack, 13 km from Barclays Center, 14 km from Brooklyn Bridge, 15 km from Bloomingdale's, and 18 km from the National September 11 Memorial & Museum. The immediate area is industrial and rough, with a 10-minute walk to the nearest subway station (the 3 train, the farthest stop on the line). The neighbourhood is considered unsafe after dark; walking alone at night is not recommended. A taxi from JFK costs about $40. The area has limited dining options, though some nearby restaurants offer delivery.

Each room includes air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen TV, a work desk, a wardrobe, a mini-fridge (available upon request), and an en suite bathroom with a stand-up shower only (no bathtubs). An AM/FM alarm clock and carpeted flooring are also provided. Some rooms have been noted as small and dark, with dated furniture and worn bedding. The lift may occasionally be out of service, requiring stair access to the second-floor rooms. Vending machines for drinks and snacks are available but may sometimes be out of order. A microwave is located in a common area on the lower level.
